Lowlines are an Australian breed that was developed as part of a beef research initiative in the 1970s and have been on the market in Australia since 1993. They were introduced into the US in 1997.
Some interesting facts to know about Lowlines:

Lowlines have been bred for years to finish on grass and produce a naturally lean meat. This is very important because of the health benefits of naturally raised foods. Research has shown that cattle finished on a 100% grass based diet will produce meat that is much higher in omega-3 fatty acids and vitamins A & E and beta-carotene. These nutrients are recommended for a healthy heart, cancer prevention and to enhance short-term memory.

Lowlines are a marvelous breed and offer an excellent value for seedstock producers to meet the current demand for breeding animals. Fullblood cattle can be registered through the American Lowline Registry after DNA testing to assure purity.

We have some small Lowlines who are perfect for a small acreage ranch. Lowlines are easy animals to raise. These small cattle are wonderful with children and a perfect size for a family wanting to raise their own freezer beef. Additionally, they will help maintain the grass on your property!
